Dr. Lavania Certified To Diagnose Early Autism

Dr. Lavania Certified To Diagnose Early Autism
February 19, 2024KidsTeens

Dr. Lavania has been certified in RITA-T (Rapid Interactive Screening Test for Autism in Toddlers). Currently, the average age of diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is close to 4 years but, after completing her RITA-T training, Dr. Lavania can now diagnose ASD as early as 12 months of age.

“This is very close to my heart and completing this certification is going to be crucial to diagnosing Autism early. This means, the sooner that we can diagnose and treat, we have a much higher chance to significantly reduce the impact of the disorder to the child.” – Dr. Lavania

The RITA-T includes nine semi-structured play based presses which combine joint attention, visual problem solving, social awareness, communication, and self-awareness.
